When do clubs start? Please listen to daily announcements for news and updates. Some dates are listed below. Others will be shared closer to their first meeting.

Where are permission slips? Most forms can be found by attendance office or directly from the Club Sponsor. Some can be found below.

Interested in establishing a new club that is not listed? Must be approved by VP Mr. Rooney and a sponsor is needed to host meetings. Staff sponsors of NEW clubs should fill out the club info form for teachers/staff only. Changes/updates can just be emailed to webmasters.

VALLEY FORGE TV (VFTV)

NEWSPAPER CLUB

Newspaper Club is open to any student with an interest in learning how to seek news stories, complete interviews, gather facts, and compose news articles to be published in our school newspaper, The Forger. Students are expected to, use multiple resources to write about school events as assigned, properly complete the editing, revising, and saving process, and meet all deadlines for rough and final drafts.

GRAPHIC DESIGN CLUB

Graphic design club offers kids to explore their creativity. Graphic design is a great form of visual communication. It is how we speak to others and get messages across. Graphic design is all around us in forms of logos, billboards, flyers, fonts that express our feelings without having to say much. All participants need to bring laptop.

RUNNING CLUB

Running Club is available for students who are enthusiastic about running and who want to learn more about the activity. Students who participate will join other passionate runners and even have opportunities to compete with students from other schools.

WRESTLING CLUB

Wrestling Club is available for those who would like to be introduced to the sport of wrestling, this club is for you! Students who participate will experience the sport and have other opportunities to learn about the Valley Forge Middle School Wrestling Team.

YOGA CLUB

Yoga Club is open to all students interested in those that want to improve focus and concentration, build strength and flexibility, boost confidence, and reduce stress. No experience needed, just bring your enthusiasm!

BEST BUDDIES

Best Buddies is open to all students interested in forming one-to-one friendships between students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities. This program promotes inclusion, understanding, and friendship through planned activities and events.

DECA CLUB

The DECA after-school program is designed to develop essential skills in communication, teamwork, and innovation. Through engaging lessons and hands-on activities, the club aims to build students’ confidence, creativity, and leadership abilities, preparing them for challenges they will face in high school and beyond.

ASIAN AMERICAN HERITAGE CLUB

FINANCIAL LITERACY CLUB

The VFMS Financial Literacy and Investment Club is open to any student in Grades 5-8 with an interest in learning more about basic financial concepts and how to invest in the stock market. The club will be run by student representatives from the Conestoga Investment Club, who will craft lesson plans for each club meeting. This club will be a fun and informative way to learn about saving and investing and will include a stock market simulation game.

KNOWLEDGE BOWL

The Knowledge Bowl is a day-long academic quiz bowl competition for students in grades 6-8. Middle school students compete in a "college-bowl" format where students answer challenging questions from a variety of categories, including the following: literature, math, science, American and world history, geography and contemporary events.

READING OLYMPICS

Open to all students who have a strong interest in reading and discussing all types of books!

Day: The first Wednesday of each month, beginning October 1. Frequency will increase in March with meeting dates TBD.

Indian Cultural Awareness Club is a place where students can talk about and learn about the Indian culture through games, presentations, and activities. Members can also share anecdotal experiences. It is open to all VFMS students.

BUILDERS CLUB (COMMUNITY SERVICE)

SLAM CLUB

SLAM is a club at VFMS that stands for Student Leaders’ Antiracist Movement. It is an organization that has been running at Conestoga for the past five years. SLAM at VFMS will provide students with a safe and age-appropriate opportunity to build knowledge and awareness of race and its role in our identities, history, society, and culture. It will provide a supportive place for students to ask questions, gain context, seek understanding, and form their own opinions.

Open to students interested in learning French or about French-speaking cultures. French Club meets to do fun language and/or cultural activities. Students also have the opportunity to try French treats (fee of $20 per semester).
